FAQs

The set includes three pieces: a cast iron skillet (ideal for searing, frying, and sauteing), a cast iron grill pan (for deep sear marks and smoky flavour), and a cast iron deep pan (perfect for roasting, baking, stews, and one-pan meals). Each pan can be used individually or together to cook full multi-course meals inside your pizza oven.

The cast iron pan set is compatible with all Igneus pizza ovens, including the Minimo, Bambino, Classico, Pro 600, and Pro 750. The pans sit directly inside the oven chamber and are designed to withstand the high temperatures generated by wood-fired cooking. They are also suitable for use on gas hobs, induction hobs, and conventional ovens.

Yes. Before first use, apply a thin, even coat of a high smoke-point oil (such as vegetable, rapeseed, or flaxseed oil) to all surfaces of each pan. Place them in a hot oven for 30-45 minutes to allow the oil to polymerise and form a protective non-stick layer. This seasoning improves cooking performance and protects the cast iron from rust. Re-season periodically, especially after deep cleaning.

After cooking, allow the pans to cool before cleaning. Use a stiff brush or chain-mail scrubber to remove food residue. Avoid soaking in water or using a dishwasher, as this strips the seasoning and causes rust. Rinse briefly if needed, then dry thoroughly on a warm hob or in the oven. Apply a very thin coat of oil to all surfaces before storing in a dry place to maintain the seasoning and prevent corrosion.
