What £100–£500 gets you
This range covers a lot of ground — from fire bowls and paella pans through to masonry BBQs, gas pizza ovens, pellet grills, and timber garden structures. The products that represent the best value at this price point are the ones where you're buying a category entry point that you'd otherwise spend significantly more on: a Cozze gas pizza oven, a Buschbeck masonry fireplace, or a GMG pellet grill all sit here and punch well above their price.
Gas BBQs (from £201) Enders, Lifestyle Appliances, and Outsunny cover the gas BBQ side of this range. Outsunny's lineup runs from a 4-burner with side burner (£227.99) through to a 6-burner with viewing window (£385.99) — freestanding gas BBQs at competitive prices, suited to gardens where you want reliable performance without a large outlay. Their dual-fuel model (£299.99) adds a charcoal option if you want the flexibility to switch between the two. If you're after a 4 or 5-burner built-in setup or a larger freestanding model, those move into our £500–£1,000 range.
Portable and tabletop charcoal BBQs (from £169) Barbecook's Carlo table grills — available in charcoal and electric versions across several colours — are the entry point here. Compact, portable, and suited to smaller spaces, balconies, or as a second grill for direct cooking alongside a larger setup.
Plancha and flat-top grills (from £159) Cozze's plancha range — the G-400 (£159), G-700 (£219), G-500 (£369), and Combo 900 (£499) — are gas-fired flat cooking surfaces rather than traditional grill grates. Better for fish, vegetables, smash burgers, and batch cooking than for conventional BBQ. Pellet grills (from £299) GMG's Trek Prime and Davy Crockett pellet grills sit here — compact, WiFi-connected, wood-pellet fuel. Set the temperature, load the hopper, and leave it. If you want genuine smoke flavour without the attention that charcoal demands, this is the most accessible way into that style of cooking. Larger GMG models move into the £500–£1,000 range.

Modular outdoor kitchen components (from £109) Cozze's modular kitchen range — tables, cabinets, stands, fridge modules, and carts — spans this price band and provides the infrastructure to build a proper outdoor kitchen setup around a pizza oven or grill. GRLLR's back bar and wall accessories for their Connect system also sit here. These are components rather than complete kitchens; the grills and ovens they're designed to house move into higher price bands.
Garden structures (from £149) Woodshaw's timber pergolas, arbours, and garden shelters span this range and into the £500–£1,000 bracket. Pressure-treated timber, flat-pack delivery, self-assembly, designed for permanent installation. Worth looking at alongside the heating and cooking products if you're thinking about the wider garden setup.
